Seminar for Moulavi
A Three-Days Workshop was held at Samanthurai for the
Moulavies in the area of Sammandurai and Kalmunai. It was
organized by the WAMY Da’wa Unit in collaboration
with Nahjathul Ulama, Sammandurai.
At the Workshop, As-Sheikh S.H.M. Faleel, As-Sheikh H.L.M.
Haris, As-Sheikh Ahamded Imthiyas, As-Sheikh C. Ayyoob Ali,
As-Sheikh A.B.M. Abbas, As-Sheikh Adam Bawa, As-Sheikh M.
Nazeer and As-Sheikh Razeen Assan participated as Resource
Personnel.
As-Sheikh M.I. Ameer, the former Director
of Muslim Cultural Department and Currently working as the
Senior Asst. Secretary in the Ministry of Religious Affairs
took part in the workshop as the Special Guest. Around 60
Moulavies attended the workshop.

Medical Camp for the orphans
The WAMY orphans unit conducted a medical
camp island wide for the orphans who are under WAMY’s
care recently. Approximately 490 orphans were benefitted
with this service.

Dr. Basil visited WAMY, Sri
Lanka
Dr. Basil Abdur Rahman Sheikh, Senior Supervisor
of Eastern Province, WAMY Saudi Arabia made a three day
visit to WAMY, Sri Lanka. During his short visit, he conducted
a number of programmes to the students around the country.

Seminar for Arabic Madrasa
Principals
A One-Day Seminar was held at Kurunegal,
Mallawapitiya for the Arabic Madrasa Principals and Senior
teachers. The theme of the programme was “Developing
the skills of the staff”. It was organized by the
WAMY Da’wa Unit.
Around 30 Principals and the senior staff
of the Madrasa in the Kurunegala districts participated.
At the Seminar, As-Sheikh A.B.M. Abbas, As-Sheikh H.L.M.
Haris and As-Sheikh S.H.M. Faleel spoke on the topics “The
method of approaching Holy Quran”, “The method
of approaching Sunna”, “eam Work” respectively.

Holiday. The theme of the programme was “Moral Development”.
It was organized by the Kahatowita Social Educational and
